Meng Xiaotang (Ke Ying), an author famous for her derivative works, is hired by a nostalgic client to revive her passion for wuxia novels and revise her story “The Tale of Nan Xi.” For the money, she makes arbitrary changes, angering the online literature system. Transported into a wuxia world, she becomes the villain Feng Nanxi, hunted by everyone and unable to use her invincible Xiyun Technique. While fleeing, she meets scammer Shen Yu (Deng Chaoyuan) and discovers she must rely on him. To restore the plot, she needs to make the original protagonist, Ye Wuchen, fall in love with her and then kill him. Unbeknownst to her, Shen Yu is actually Ye Wuchen in disguise, aiming to kill her and steal the Xiyun Technique. A thrilling showdown of survival, deception, and unexpected feelings ensues.
